A healer does not heal you. A healer is someone who holds space for you while you awaken your inner healer, so that you may heal yourself.

Sound Healing

Sound Healing

What is sound healing?

Sound healing (also called sound therapy or music therapy) is when musical instruments are used to improve physical and emotional health and well-being.

Healing with sound has been used traditionally by our ancestors when natural and holistic therapies have been used for healing, long before allopathic medicine and traditional psychotherapy. Music therapy or sound healing is believed to date back to Ancient Greece, when music was used to help people to alleviate suffering from mental disorders. Since then, it has been used by different cultures worldwide.

Indigenous cultures continue to use natural and more holistic approaches to healing and prevention of disease which were passed on over many generations to this day, but modern cultures around the world are being awakened to these powerful ancestral healing modalities as well. The sound healing movement is growing. If only a decade ago, sound healing was used primarily by the indigenous cultures and shamans, now it is widely used in the modern world just as yoga and meditation. We reached a time when meditation is so widely recognized that every person knows about it, where there is a yoga studio on every block, and where Hollywood celebrities are playing singing bowls and attending sound healing baths.

Research studies have shown that sound healing or music therapy not only affects emotional, psychological health, but our physical health as well. Research has shown that sound healing reduces stress, anxiety and depression, improves immune function, lowers blood pressure, improves sleep, and many other health benefits. Research has even shown that music therapy improves health of premature babies.

There are different types of music therapy like guided meditation, shamanic sound healing, neurologic music therapy, tuning fork therapy, Nordoff-Robbins method, brainwave entrainment (binaural beats), and others. Shamanic sound healing benefits include clearing of the subconscious blockages and energetic entities.

In a guided sound healing meditation sounds are used to bring a person into a deep state of relaxation and activate own self-healing abilities. This is the sound healing method that I was certified in and combined my training with over 8 years of meditation, energy healing, and other spiritual practices experience.

When I facilitate sound healing guided meditations I channel angelic healing energies, I hold sacred healing space for the activation of self-healing in each person, I guide through breath-work to move the kundalini energy from lower to higher chakras (energy centers of the body), and I use only the highest quality handmade instruments: pure quartz crystal singing bowls, shamanic drums, selenite tourmaline crystal rattles, and Paiste gong (handmade in Germany by professional gong makers).
